Elysa
Elysa and her husband of 17 years are living out the adventure of raising and homeschooling 7 kids, ages 14 down to 2, on a small hobby farm in the Deep South. Elysa served as a missionary to children and youth in Swaziland, Southern, Africa in her single days. Recently, she and her two oldest daughters were able to return to that country on a short-term missions trip. The whole family is involved with various church and inner-city ministries. Homeschooling in a relaxed, year-round style is a perfect fit that allows this big family the flexibility they need to embrace the opportunities that God brings their way. Elysa began homeschooling their oldest daughter when she was 3 and a half using the Five in a Row curriculum. They are now embarking on the adventure of high school homeschooling. Elysa blogs about education, ministry, and life in general at her blog, http://elysasmusingsfromgraceland.blogspot.com/.
